Boeing Tooling Facility in Wichita, KS.

This is a very large dual gantry LK CMM located in the tooling center of Boeing in Wichita, KS.

This is a view from the top of Gantry #2.

This is a view looking along the north side of the X-axis.

This is the south side of the machine where the X-axis is located. A 1″ hole had to be drilled into the granite every 200 millimeters and an aluminum dowel plug glued into place to facilitate mounting of the scale extrusions.

This is a view of the north side X-axis scale. All signal cabling came through this leg and passed into the floor through sizable cable tracks. All cables have to be replaced due to signal upgrade to 1 volt (peak to peak) signal levels.
