The Heidenhain ROD 466 is a Heidenhain incremental rotary encoder with integral bearing for separate shaft coupling. The synchro flange allows for easy and versatile mounting. The encoders in the ROD 400 series are coupled by the rotor to the measured shaft through a separate coupling that compensates axial movements, radial misalignment, and angular offset, thereby preventing loads on the bearing and a reduction in service life.
