The Heidenhain RCN 8390F is an absolute single turn angle encoder with integral bearing and integrated stator coupling.

 

The compact design is ideal for limited installation space and the hollow through shaft allows for additional room for power lines or wiring. The stator coupling easily connects the measured shaft directly to the shaft of the angle encoder.

 

The design and mounting of the stator coupling absorb the torque caused by friction in the bearing, particularly during the angular acceleration of the shaft. Thanks to its design, the system accuracy includes the error of the shaft coupling.
