The Heidenhain LS 477 is an incremental sealed linear encoder with a small cross-section and a slimline scale housing, ideal for limited installation space. The seal design optimally protects the encoder from contamination. Their wide scanning field further reduces contamination sensitivity.

 

Using a mounting spar makes the installation of slimline encoders easy. It can be fastened as part of the machine assembly process and the encoder is simply clamped on during final mounting.
