The Heidenhain ERN 1381 is an incremental rotary encoder in the Heidenhain ERN 1000 series with integral bearing for mounting by stator coupling. The ERN 1000 series features high ruggedness and reliability in a very compact design with an outer diameter of only 35 mm, making it ideal for tight installation spaces.

 

The encoder's hollow shaft allows it be directly coupled to the mating shaft. No additional rotor coupling is required. This ensures an extremely stiff coupling that permits exceptionally high dynamic performance of the drive.
