The Heidenhain ERN 120 is an incremental rotary encoder with integral bearing and hollowed through shaft. The stator coupling compensates for play between the motor and the rotary encoder, thereby correcting inaccuracy. The stator coupling also facilitates easy mounting to the plane surface.
